The 134th birth anniversary of Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was celebrated with great grandeur under the auspices of Chaitanya Voluntary Service Organization at the premises of Muthu English Medium School, which is run by the organization.
The event was presided over by the Founder-President of the organization, MP Anandan, along with key members of the Board of Directors including Admin Director Dr. G.V.S. Babu, Mrs. Kavitha Rani Patnam Girijammal, Krishna Charan, and the teaching staff of Muthu English Medium School. The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and floral tributes to the portrait of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.


On this occasion, MP Anandan remarked that the rights and freedoms we enjoy today are a result of the relentless struggle and vision of Dr. Ambedkar. He emphasized the need to carry forward Babasaheb’s ideals and shared that the organization runs on the principle of “Pay Back to the Society,” inspired by Dr. Ambedkar’s teachings.
Dr. G.V.S. Babu, the Admin Director, highlighted that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was not only a Bharat Ratna awardee but also a global intellectual who mastered 64 disciplines and became the first foreigner to earn a doctorate from Columbia University. He mentioned that Babasaheb laid the foundation for the Reserve Bank of India through his thesis “The Problem of the Rupee – Its Origin and Its Solution”. Dr. Ambedkar was also among the elite group of eight individuals who earned the rare distinction of the “Doctor of All Sciences” degree.
General Secretary Mrs. Kavitha Rani expressed that she has been dedicating her efforts to community service under the “Pay Back to the Society” initiative, inspired by Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy. She reiterated that the organization is committed to serving children, women, and the underprivileged in rural areas. On behalf of the organization, she conveyed heartfelt gratitude to every individual who has contributed in the spirit of social service.
Other dignitaries including Patnam Girijammal Krishna Charan also spoke, lauding the immense contributions of Babasaheb to the upliftment of society.
Students of Muthu English Medium School delivered inspiring speeches and performed songs dedicated to Dr. Ambedkar, which captivated the audience. With thought-provoking speeches and cultural performances, the event concluded successfully with a spirit of reverence and celebration.
